Chex system banks Suck. I just had to start of by saying that. Now that its been put out there my hate for chex system let introduce my self . I''m Tim and I am hard working american who got all messed up over a $ 40 dollar check.
But first I am going to put it out there that I now have 2 checking accounts despite being in chex system. If you wanna see how I gave the bank verification system KNOWING AS THE " CHEX SYSTEM" the finger then all you have to do is read below.… But Before I get Into that let me Just give you a brief background.
Less than a year ago I was a happy guy, work was good had a nice family with a beautiful wife and two loving daughters. basically life was good for me at that time. I had a steady flow of money coming into my pockets and had good credit and several checking accounts at various banks. Let me just tell you aside from working my 9-5 as a foreman for a local construction company I also rent and rehab houses. So routinely I would be making withdrawals and deposits into several of checking accounts always verifying that there was money in all of them. Well one day I decided despite my better judgment I accepted a personal check from one of my tenants. Normally I never do this but they seemed like a very sweet couple and were had always paid on time. I figured that I could trust them.
Well little did I know that after depositing the check into my account and withdrawing the money from one of my checking accounts that I hardly used at that time that several days later that the check bounced. By that time I had already withdrawn the deposited money and tied it up into another project. But I was still un aware of the bounced check
I was unaware of the situation until a few weeks later I received a letter from the bank that I deposited saying that I had an outstanding balance on my account. Despite me quickly “settling” up with the bank I was still sent into the chex system. Shortly after the other two bank accounts that I had and was a loyal customer for over 4 years closed my account in the blink of an eye. No explanation, no remorse, no nothing.
As a result of this:
• No bank would let me open up an account anywhere.
• Had no place to put my money; except for a shoe box or under a mattress.
• Was forced to wait longer to get my paychecks because I had no direct deposit anymore because I had no bank account
• Chex system affects your credit score. So now not only can I not get a checking account anywhere but now my credit is getting screwed up.
Every bank official I talked to told me the same thing. There was nothing they could do and pretty much there was no way in hell I was going to be allowed to open a checking account anytime soon.
Well I thought that was Bu@# Sh@t and I proceeded to find a way to get me a checking account
…….A few weeks later I still didn’t have a checking account
I had 2 hahahahahahahahah… I Got a big grin on my face while giving the whole CHEX SYSTEM The Finger and Every Bank who told me No.
